The European Market has been supported from the Canadian operation from the early 1990s until the Incorporation of MRS (Europe) Ltd. in November 2007. Based out of Manchester in North West England, MRS (Europe) now offers Sales Support, Integration, Supply and Technical Support to customers in Europe and the Middle East.
MRS (Europe)has worked to develop the unique Integrated Safety and Communication solutions required for the diverse markets within Europe. Regulations vary between countries and this has required a flexibility of approach to both Sales and Technical support across the region.
Working with partners in the various Markets,MRS (Europe) can provide and fully support cost effective communication solutions for the underground mining and tunnelling industries.
Whilst MRS (Europe) is committed to supporting the Mining Industry within the region, it has also extended its focus to the burgeoning Tunnelling Industry. The solutions developed for the Mining market are readily adaptable to the construction phase of tunnelling to provide reliable and cost effective underground communications.

MRS (Europe)has also been providing Turnkey solutions for communications in completed Road, Rail and Service (cable) tunnels. These solutions require the integration of a number of services, including RF over LF, Ethernet, RF over Fibre-optics and Data over Fibre-optics. MRS (Europe) can design the solutions to offer complete redundancy if required in the customer’s specification.
In addition to the capabilities available in the MRS (Europe) Manchester Office,MRS (Europe) can also call upon group expertise, as required. Mine Radio Systems Inc. (MRS) and its affiliated companies have now supplied in excess of 400 systems in more than 50 countries.

Jason Stout - General Manager Mine Radio System (Europe)
Jason was appointed General Manager for Mine Radio Systems (Europe) in February 2011.
Based in the UK, Jason is responsible for MRSE activities throughout the European region. Educated in Engineering, Jason has over 15 years’ experience in the communications industry. He has held both operational and senior sales roles in several telecommunications companies, including 4RF Communications, Marconi, and Digital Microwave Corporation (now Aviat Networks). Jason also brings to his position extensive global experience attained while holding positions in Africa , Europe, North and South America and Australasia. Jason holds a BEng (Hon.) in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.

Hannah Andrews – Customer Account Manager
Hannah joined MRS in 2008. She is the primary customer contact point for MRS Europe and provides the link between sales function, project management, post-sales support and customer service. She is also responsible for the delivery of major projects, which includes everything from concept and design to delivery and customer acceptance.
Prior to joining MRS, she held a position with a major contracting company within the Utilities sector. She has completed her Advanced Diploma in Business and gained Prince 2 Project Management.

Nick Elliott - Workshop Technical Representative
Nick is responsible for the planning, building and integration of MRS systems in the European Office and contributing to field duties as needed.
Nick has over 27 years’ experience in the Radio Communications Industry, beginning with a stint as a Radio Officer in the Merchant Navy. He also has experience in offshore drilling installations and14 years with Vodafone UK as a Cellular Base Station Engineer.
A member of the MRS (Europe) team since October 2007, he has been involved in commissioning and servicing of new systems throughout Europe and East Asia and oversight of the System Integration process.

Dorothy Edwards - Office Manager
Dorothy was appointed Office Manager at MRS Europe in March 2011 with responsibility for financial management of the business and general office management. Dorothy, who achieved her AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification in 1999, brings to her position a wealth of experience accumulated while working in various accountancy and financial sectors, including practice, public and industry.

Jordan was brought into MRS Europe as part of our continuing commitment to engineering excellence. As an Apprentice, he is currently studying part time for a National Diploma in Engineering and gaining invaluable hands-on experience by working our technical team. , He left school in 2010 with impressive results and is now focused on launching his career in Engineering with MRS . |
